Product Details

This service can be used for the fretboards from our stock or you can send us your own fretboards.

The width of the slots will be 0.6 mm, please check this is compatible with the fretwire you will be using.

All scales will have nut position cut.

All scales max 24 fret slots, apart from baritone up to 30 fret slots.

Prior to slotting, the fretboard will be thicknessed to around 8mm, one long edge will be planed and ends squared. The flat edge will be used as a reference to position the slots perpendicularly.

Guitar scales available:

Classical 650mm(short)

Classical 660mm(long)

24.625"(Gretsch, Gibson)

24.75"(some Fenders and GIbsons, Guild, Godin, Rickenbacker, ESP, Eiphone)

24.9"(Martin short)

25"(PRS, Danelectro, Kiesel)

25.4"(Martin standard used on OM, Drednought etc)

Baritone scales available:

27"

28.3"

BARITONE IMPORTANT NOTE:

(Baritone scales are longer than the standard guitar scales. Keep this in mind as the standard guitar fingerboard blank length is around 530mm. For example if making a 27" scale in 530 mm length blank with 24 slots, this would leave around 1cm of material after the 24th fret, or 20 slots around 5 cm. 28.3" scale with 20 slots, around 3 cm of material left after the 20th slot. 28.3" scale with 24 fret slots wouldn't be possible on a standard guitar blank and you would require a longer board of at least 570 mm to have some material after the 24th fret slot.)

Bass scales available :

30"(short bass scale) and 34" bass scale.

Bass 34"(Jaguar Bass, Telecaster Bass, Music Man Stingray, Fender Precision, Steinberger, Ibanez).

Ukulele/Mandolin scales available:
