Neck Angle Jig
Radius Dish UK Neck Angle Jig
This is our own adaptation of the neck angle jig commonly used by working luthiers. It’s designed to be accurate, repeatable, and practical in a real workshop environment.
The jig is made from quality plywood and supplied fully assembled, with all fittings included.
It features a tilting neck base that locks securely once the correct neck angle is established by placing the guitar body on the jig against the aluminium reference bar.
Instead of dowels, the neck is held in place using a 6 mm slot and 6 mm bar, which slides into the truss rod slot to keep the neck perfectly aligned and stable during routing.
Templates
The jig is supplied with one set of templates.
Please choose from the drop-down menu:
• Dovetail, or
• Mortise & Tenon (M&T) templates.
Templates are made from 9 mm MDF and slide into 9 mm slots on top of the jig.
Body routing side
The opposite side of the jig is used for routing the body. The guitar body is placed on the jig, aligned to the centreline using the acrylic guide shown in the photos, and secured with thumbwheel nuts.
