Calibration of guitar back and sides sets using a professional wide drum sanding machine.
This service can be used with sets bought from us or you can send us your own sets.
Please note:
If you are buying a back and sides set from our shop, just add this service and include in the message box:
- thickness for the back
- thickness for the sides
If you are sending your own sets, there will be a return postage of £9 with Parcelforce and the max insurance included in the £9 cost is £150. If sending a more expensive sets, the insurance can be increased to £250 for £1.50
If you are not experienced, please do your research as different tonewood will require different thickness for the bending.
Generally about 2mm sides will work for most tonewoods.
For the backs I would recommend 3.5mm as you will need some wiggle room for the final sanding and finishing.
